Forced By Vaccaro to Appear on SNL, Michael Jordan Refused to Escalate Feud with ‘A**hole’ Isiah Thomas

Michael Jordan is one of the greatest players in NBA history. His Airness did it all in his 15 seasons in the league. Six NBA Championships, six Finals MVPs, five Regular Season MVPs, and an Olympic Gold Medal make for an astounding resume.

Speaking of his Olympic Gold Medal, MJ won it as part of the Dream Team at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games. It was a dominant performance from a team featuring several Hall of Famers, including the likes of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, and many more. However, there was one significant absentee, Isiah Thomas.

At the time, it was no secret that Jordan had it out for Thomas. Rumor had it that he was responsible for Isiah not being on the squad. But, when SNL asked him to do a skit on the same, he flat-out refused.

Michael Jordan refused to do an SNL sketch mocking Isiah Thomas’ absence from the Dream Team

Saturday Night Live is a well-known comedy showcase. One that has featured several popular celebrities over the years, including NBA superstars. The likes of Bill Russell, Charles Barkley, and LeBron James have made appearances on the infamous 30 Rock Plaza.

However, perhaps the greatest baller to appear on the show is none other than Michael Jordan. His Airness was featured in the Season 17 premiere of the show back in 1991 after Sonny Vaccaro forced him to appear.

There were many memorable skits from the night. But, there were several that didn’t make it to air or get recorded either. Like a skit, the show’s producers wanted to do surrounding MJ’s insistence on keeping Isiah Thomas off the Dream Team. And, as revealed in Roland Lazenby’s Michael Jordan: The Life, it was a skit he refused to do.

“The producers had wanted to do a skit about an effort by Jordan to keep Isiah Thomas off the Olympic team, but he refused. His opening segment in hosting SNL was roundly flat and unfunny, and Jordan certainly rued the decision afterward.”

It was Jordan’s attempt at preventing his feud with Isiah from escalating any further. Well, 29 years later, the world found out just how badly he wanted to end the beef.

MJ went in on “a**hole” Isiah Thomas in the Last Dance Documentary

Despite his refusal to do a skit mocking Isiah Thomas, Michael Jordan’s true feelings towards the Piston’s legend were revealed years later. The Hall of Famer, publically bashed Zeke in the Last Dance documentary, referring to him as an “a**hole” on several occasions. He even admitted that he refused to be on the Olympics team if he had to play with him.

It certainly wasn’t a good look for both Jordan and Isiah. He may not have had anything to do with the decision. But, at the end of the day, he definitely had a strong influence on it.

Toto Wolff has been in Formula 1 for a long time now, and he has seen enough unfortunate incidents to feel some fear. But at the same time, his son— Jack Wolff, is growing his interest in motorsports.

Both Toto and his wife, Susie Wolff, regularly post pictures of him driving go-karts around. Even though the five-year-old is only doing karting and is several years away before he gets into Formula racing, where the serious action begins, Wolff is still severely worried about his son.

He shared his concern with his daughter Rosa Wolff, who asked him how he feels when finally, among his three offspring; the last one picked up interest in motorsports. He reveals that he is happy but at the same time afraid.

A post shared by Susie Wolff (@susie_wolff)

“It pleases me, and it worries me. The worry is much greater because karting and motorsports are dangerous. I have seen horrific accidents, I can very much understand this horror as a parent,” said Wolff [translated with DeepL].

Jack Wolff is too competitive

The Mercedes boss gives further light on how his son is doing in the infancy stage of his motorsport days. According to Toto, Jack is too competitive while racing.

He reveals that the aspiring five-year-old motorsport driver is always about who is winning or going faster against him. Toto, in between, also shows that he would like his son to do more skiing instead of motorsport.

But he is ready to accept whatever sport his son wants to pick up. The 51-year-old reveals that he would support his son in his choice and get competitive while supporting him.

Toto Wolff talks extensively with his daughter about different things

Rosa and Toto had an extensive conversation which was published in German. His daughter asked to shed light on several topics, which included environment and gender diversity in motorsports.

Regarding the environmental concerns and F1’s involvement in it, Mercedes’s boss thinks they can do more than just get electric cars. He thinks F1 can endorse the idea of saving the earth and cutting carbon emissions with its global reach.

F1 as a sport has never seen a woman driver competing on the grid. Susie was the only driver who was closest to getting that chance, but in the end, she was snubbed.

Now she has reactivated her efforts by leading the F1 women’s academy. Seeing such efforts, her husband feels that it’s imperative for F1 to see a female driver soon enough.

“LeBron James Got his Break”: Skip Bayless Suggests King James’ Lakers Can Win NBA Championship

The Lakers look better and better with each game. Granted there have been certain inconsistencies, but now that the team looks relatively injury free, it’s starting to show on the court. With LeBron James returning for his second game since injury, the Lakers managed to exact revenge on Chicago Bulls. The win has a lot of fans and analysts excited.

There were some key elements of the game that have woken up the league to the Lakers’ potential chances in the postseason. In fact, the LeBron-led side may even have converted the awfully critical Skip Bayless.

The FS1 Analyst, on the latest episode of Undisputed, was seen defending the Lakers. While Shannon Sharpe, a Laker fan and LeBron friend, criticized them, Skip Bayless defended their potential.

Skip Bayless defends LeBron James and Co.

Sharpe is a big, vocal Lakers fan. But he isn’t sold by the Lakers’ performance since the trade deadline. The former NFL player believes the team is too inconsistent to survive a playoffs series. He also questioned Anthony Davis and his role as a franchise star.

On the other hand, surprisingly, Bayless had the exact opposite take. Despite becoming unpopular among fans for hating on LeBron, he surprisingly praised him and the gold and purples.

Bayless stated LeBron James has come back healthy and ready to win games and that the Lakers have finally come together and have a very well-balanced team. He also quoted their depth as one of the reasons he believes they will fare really well in the playoffs and possibly win it all.

Skip: “It feels like LeBron (James) got his break. He got to revitalize. He got to reinvigorate. He came back fresh, he came back much healthier than he left. He was able to sleep off passing Kareem and get back on track to win basketball games.”

Lakers are on the brink of ending playoffs exit

The Lakers won a big game yesterday. With their win over Chicago, their record improved to 38-38. They are ranked 8th in their conference but they can only afford to lose one game at this point in time.

But the Lakers can’t afford to lose their current cushion. They need to keep winning their upcoming games. Unfortunately, they will face 3 tough teams in their remaining 6 games. Their toughest battles will likely be against the Clippers, the Timberwolves, and Phoenix Suns.

The stakes have never been higher but the Lakers have already dealt with this pressure for the last few weeks and they have managed to survive. Maybe there is hope still.

Before Building his $14 Million Mansion, Michael Jordan Crashed at Unexpected Chicago House with Pregnant Juanita Vanoy

Michael Jordan was a presiding force in the NBA during the 1980s and the 1990s. And although he was perceived to be inhumane, Jordan needed time to recuperate himself like any other human, and His Airness found that comfort in the home of his mother-in-law. Michael Jordan is widely remembered for his actions on the court. His ability to not be phased in the face of adversity made him stand out. Jordan’s character embodied that of someone who didn’t tire and thrived in moments that were considered impossible to perform.

Jordan’s motor and engine were tuned to withstand the barrage of mental torment and physical damage he underwent on a nightly basis. MJ’s durability and mettle to endure the physical trauma he was put through is and will be undeniably unmatched.

With that being said, the six-time NBA champion had to revitalize and reenergize himself wherever the opportunity presented itself. Due to the fact that the nightly fixtures indeed took a toll on him.

And amidst the chaos of his popularity, the NBA Hall of Famer found it impossible to gain peace in his 14 million mansions. So he rather opted to do so from the house of his mother-in-law, Dorothy Vanoy.

Michael Jordan used to invigorate himself at the house of Dorothy Vanoy

In his biography, Michael Jordan: The Life, Roland Lazenby detailed how the five-time NBA MVP would abandon his $14 million mansion. And resort to residing in the house of his mother-in-law, Dorothy Vanoy.

As per Lazenby’s account, Jordan had a soft side for the house, as did his ex-wife, Juanita Vanoy. The book disclosed that when Jordan wanted to gain some peace of mind, he would make an escapade to the home.

“One of Jordan’s simple escapes, when he managed to land for a few days in Chicago, was the couch at his mother-in-law’s house on the South Side, where he could zone out on TV and load up on Dorothy Vanoy’s old-fashioned mac and cheese. Juanita was six months pregnant, with an active two-year-old underfoot; she, too, sought the sanctuary of her mother’s home. It was as good a place as any for Jordan to keep track of Krause’s off-season manoeuvrings to upgrade the roster.”

As mentioned above, it also enabled the Chicago Bulls legend to be vigilant regarding the activities of the Bulls and specifically Bulls general manager, Jerry Krause.

Krause is infamous for his man management with talents, with Scottie Pippen being the ideal attestation to that. Although, to Krause’s credit, he was the one who transcended the fortunes of the Bulls with his talent acquisition.

His Airnesses’ necessary excursions

It was no secret that Jordan was hounded by the media throughout his career. Therefore it is easily comprehensible why these getaways meant so much to him. For someone to be in the spotlight 24/7 365 would be a strenuous task. Let alone, for someone of the stature and caliber of Michael Jordan.

It’s no surprise that Michael Jordan came back and governed the NBA the way he did, as the time off would have assisted his mental fortitude significantly.

Amidst Andrew Wiggins’ Disappearance, Shaquille O’Neal ‘Vanishing’ From The NBA For 5 Days Comes To Light

Buy Now

Andrew Wiggins has not been with the Golden State Warriors for over 20 games now and the reason for why this is the case is unknown to both the general media and NBA fans alike. What is known is that he’s taken time away from the team due to a family issue, with his teammates even saying that it’s ‘bigger than basketball’.

Wiggins taking time off from the Warriors and the NBA has brought many such stories like this from the past to the fore. Shaquille O’Neal is one such superstar who had ‘disappeared’ for a short period of time from the NBA before returning. Though, he was ruled out for close to a week, which isn’t much compared to the Wiggins situation.

The one similarity between what Shaq had gone through and what the Canadian star is currently going through is the fact that they both revolve around family.

Shaquille O’Neal missed games due to a death in the family

Shaquille O’Neal was raised by a litany of caring family members who he was all close to. His grandmother, Odessa Chamblis, was someone who ‘The Big Aristotle’ held near and dear to his heart. However, in April of 1996, he would learn of her deteriorating health.

This caused him to miss multiple games to be with his family and eventually mourn the loss of his grandmother. He was granted a leave from the Magic and it was relatively unknown at the time to the public why the eventual 4x NBA champion was not present over the course of 5 days.

He would unexpectedly return to play against the Chicago Bulls where he would come off the bench in a 90-86 loss. He would however, drop 21 points on 10-16 shooting while also grabbing 9 rebounds in limited minutes.

When talking about the loss of his grandmother, Shaq said, “I was going to take another week off. I didn’t feel like playing. I didn’t feel like moving.”

Where is Andrew Wiggins?

As mentioned earlier, Andrew Wiggins and his camp have not yet revealed anything regarding his disappearance. Some have hypothesized that regardless of how far the Golden State Warriors go in the Playoffs, he’s likely not to return.

One theory that was floating around social media was that his partner, Mychal Johnson, had cheated on him with his best friend. However, Johnson herself took to social media to debunk their outlandish theory.

“Bombastic” Lawrence Stroll Rescued From Major Accusations in Harsh Blow to Sebastian Vettel’s Aston Martin Ally

Renowned columnist Lewis Webster rescued Lawrence Stroll from Matt Bishop’s huge allegations. The renowned F1 figure alleged that the Aston Martin F1 owner sacked him due to his “homophobic” nature, which the columnist claimed as untrue.

In his column, Webster wrote that the entire accusation against Stroll is false. He wrote that the Aston Martin lead figure might be a “bombastic” figure or an “overbearing” one, but he certainly isn’t a “homophobic” human being.

Bishop alleged that the father of F1 driver Lance Stroll sacked him as he is gay by sexual preference. However, Webster had something else to say about this. He wrote that the original reason why he was sacked is that Sebastian Vettel’s Aston Martin ally was lousy with his job.

Furthermore, his affection for Vettel, which left the four-time world champion out of control, was one of the major reasons for the layoff.

Moreover, the former Aston Martin employee is believed to have encouraged the German’s bizarre behavior in 2022. Last but not the least, the columnist also blamed Bishop for his terrible advice to the W series, which reportedly affected them eventually.

How did Stroll receive Bishop at Aston Martin?

As per Webster, Stroll made Bishop popular after he employed the English journalist in his team. Furthermore, the former Silverstone team employee was offered a job with good perks and salary.

It was not all, as the Canadian who is known to praise his employees also provided an Aston Martin car for him to use. But, according to the columnist, Bishop failed Stroll Sr. with the way he handled Vettel’s public relations in 2022.

Matt Bishop worked as Aston Martin’s Chief Communication Officer. He joined the team in 2021 and left in 2022 after spending two years on the team. But he only has himself to blame for his departure as he failed in his job, instead of blaming the owner with false allegations.

What was Sebastian Vettel’s controversy in 2022?

The four-time world champion caught up in controversy after he removed the “climate crime” helmet in the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix. The German driver did not prefer to wear the helmet that was designed to draw attention to Canada’s climate crime.

This created huge controversy both for Vettel and his team in general. On this, team principal Mike Krack said that the team did not need him to stop wearing the helmet.

Furthermore, a local politician named Sonya Savage called the German a hypocrite for this action. Being on a team that is sponsored by Saudi Aramco and then raising a voice against climate change seemed hypocritical for the Alberta politician.

Is Yuvraj Singh playing IPL 2023?

There is no going into a safe house around the fact that former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh continues to have a cult fan-following even four years after his last representative match. Although Yuvraj has moved on from competitive sport, his fans appear to still be finding it difficult regarding moving on from him.

If truth be told, one understands the situation of his fans taking into consideration the southpaw’s achievements and the circumstances under which they had come during his playing career.

Yuvraj, who won’t be participating in the imminent 16th season of the Indian Premier League, had last represented Mumbai Indians during the 12th season of the biggest T20 league across the globe.

Having played for Kings XI Punjab (twice), Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals (then Daredevils) and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the past, Yuvraj’s 12th year in the IPL witnessed him playing for his sixth franchise in MI.

Although Yuvraj kick-started his last IPL season with a half-century, 45 (40) across the next three innings cost him a middle-order spot in Indians’ Playing XI. It was just over a couple of months after playing his last IPL match that Yuvraj had announced his international retirement whilst ensuring that he won’t be playing in the IPL either.

Is Yuvraj Singh playing IPL 2023?

“When the time comes, I will be the first one to hang my boots,” Yuvraj had told reporters after Mumbai lost IPL 2019 tournament opener to Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium.

Standing by his words, Yuvraj didn’t wait for much long in the hope of finding another franchise during IPL 2020 auction. Yuvraj, who was 37 at the time, might have realized the prospect of MI releasing him after having given him four opportunities in a title-winning season.

For the unversed, Yuvraj had remained unsold in the first round of IPL 2019 auction. It was around the end of the auction process that Indians had bought him. An aware Yuvraj, however, could easily comprehend as to why teams didn’t show interest in him.

“There was no disappointment as such because I had an idea that I would not be picked in the first round,” Yuvraj was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror after IPL 2019 auction.

Since his retirement, Yuvraj has had stints in Global T20 Canada, Abu Dhabi T20 League, Bushfire Relief Match and Road Safety World Series. The left-handed batter had become an instant source of admiration after rewinding the clock by hitting South Africa’s Zander de Bruyn and West Indies’ Mahendra Nagamootoo for four consecutive sixes within a span of four days last year.

What Is the Bizarre Australian GP Curse? – Will Oscar Piastri End the ‘Aussie Curse’ at Melbourne?

Buy Now

The Australian GP is right around the corner marking the 34th time that the venue has held the F1 event in the calendar. Along with the excitement, the Albert Park circuit will also bring an odd ‘Aussie curse.’

There is a common saying in F1 – all F1 drivers want to win at Monaco and their home races. While the Australian drivers have been able to achieve the former part of the saying, the latter is yet to be fulfilled.

Ever since the inaugural F1 race in 1950, there have been 15 Australian drivers that have started at least one race. Two of these drivers, Jack Brabham and Alan Jones, have even won championships. Despite that, no driver from the down under has yet secured even a podium at their home track, let alone winning a race.

Heading into the 2023 Australian Grand Prix, there is a young rookie Aussie driver, Oscar Piastri. But it remains to be seen if he can break the dry spell suffered by his compatriots.

Unlikely for Oscar Piastri to overcome the curse

Piastri made his way into F1 causing a lot of chaos in the paddock. The young Aussie replaced his compatriot, Daniel Ricciardo in McLaren and has taken a seat next to Lando Norris.

Building on pre-season performance, McLaren has gotten way worse with their development. The Woking-based team has fallen to the bottom of the grid.

The team even reported that they will hold this pattern until their major upgrade, which is set to arrive at the Azerbaijan GP at the end of April. McLaren hopes that this upgrade will help them progress further into the higher midfield.

Given the disappointing results drawn from the team’s performance in the first two races of the season, it seems extremely unlikely for Piastri to overcome the curse. So much so that it would be a great result for the team if either driver manages to finish within points in the upcoming race.

Although having brought Piastri to the team after a lot of chaos, the team is quite impressed with his performance. Piastri showed a tenacious approach in Saudi Arabian GP qualifying and placed himself P9 for the race day, just one place behind Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton.

Former Australian drivers who came close to the podium

For the most renowned Australian drivers of contemporary times, Jack Brabham and Alan Jones, things did not work out well. Brabham, a 3-time world champion, did not even get a chance to participate in a home race as the inaugural Australian GP was first held in 1985.

On the other hand, while Jones who won the title in 1980, got the chance twice to partake, he retired on both occasions. Later in the 1990s, Brabham’s son David participated in the race held in Adelaide in 1990 and 1994 but failed to finish either of his two races.

Then came Mark Webber in 2002. Driving an underperforming Minardi, the Aussie driver brought home a shocking P5 finish. While it was not one of the top three podium positions, it did come as a shock to both Webber and his team boss at the time and they had an impromptu podium celebration.

Following the unprecedented result of the 2002 Australian GP, which saw 14 drivers retire by the time of chequered flag, the chairman of the Australian GP persuaded Webber and Stoddart to celebrate on the stage. This led to a fine of £50,000(approx $128,000 today, as per inflation).

In 2014, Daniel Ricciardo came close to the podium. He finished P2 in the first race of the turbo-hybrid era but was later disqualified from the race. This happened because the Red Bull car at the time exceeded the legal fuel flow rate of 100 kilos an hour.

“My Sons Love LeBron James”: When Shaquille O’Neal was Jealous of 6ft 9″ Superstar’s Growing Popularity Despite Similarities

In the 2000s, Shaquille O’Neal was the best basketball player on the planet. His game had evolved to the level where only the greatest of defenders could even hope to stand alongside O’Neal in the post. He was simply unstoppable. A force of nature.

By the 2010s, a different name had taken over as the best basketball player on the planet. The rise of  LeBron James was inevitable but it surprisingly impacted the legendary 7ft 1″ center as well.

In his book Shaq Uncut, O’Neal talked in detail about LeBron. From their epic dance battle to their playoffs run together, Diesel’s account of the young King was extensive. Shaquille O’Neal even revealed how his one-season teammate’s rise to popularity among his children was a little too much to handle.

Shaquille O’Neal was jealous of LeBron’s popularity in his house

While talking about LeBron, Shaq claimed that his young sons loved the then-Cleveland Cavaliers superstar. He also drew a parallel between himself and James, suggesting the 6ft 9″ was as popular in the 2010s as O’Neal had been in the 2000s.

Shaq: “LeBron was a huge star. He was as big as I was in 2000 in LA when I was dominating the league. My kids are too young to remember any of that. My sons love LeBron more than they love me. I’m a little jealous about that. You get around LeBron and you realize he’s everything he appears to be. He’s a strong kid with a ton of confidence who works his ass off. He doesn’t quite have Kobe’s range yet, but I bet he will. He’s not going to stop until he wins multiple rings.”

In all fairness, Shaquille O’Neal was a shadow of his former self by the time LeBron was dominating with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He became all the more popular after his stint with the Redeem Team. Naturally, Shaq’s boys were drawn to him. In fact, Shareef O’Neal even credited King James for motivating him to pursue the sport.

LeBron James and Shaq played a season together

Not many know but Shaq actually played with LeBron James for a season. After his stint with Phoenix Suns ended, O’Neal headed to Cleveland for his second last season in the league.

The unexpected duo even made it to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals in 2010. However, they lost to the Boston Celtics in 6 games. O’Neal and LeBron played in every playoff game but failed to overcome the unstoppable Celtics that year. So, O’Neal left Cleveland and moved to Boston to play his last NBA season with the Celtics. A move that certainly left a bad taste in some Lakers die-hard fans.

Fernando Alonso Quizzed About 33rd GP Win by Fanboy and World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz At 2023 Miami Open

Fernando Alonso has become the dark horse of the season. The tw0-time-world champion has claimed 2 consecutive podiums in Bahrain and Jeddah, where he recently achieved his 100th career podium.

The driver is by far the closest competitor against Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez in the championship. While the Spaniards’ performances indicate he could threaten the Red Bull driver’s duopoly and challenge for race wins.

Alonso’s fans are eagerly awaiting his first race win in 10 years. According to Tennis World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz, only a matter of races until “El Padre” claims the chequered flag of his 33rd race wins.

Carlos Alcaraz Wants Fernando Alonso to win 33rd GP

Fernando Alonso was given a boost of motivation by fellow Spaniard and World Tennis No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz, an Alonso fan himself, dedicated his Round of 32 wins at the 2023 Miami Open to the former F1 champion.

Post winning his bout against American Tommy Paul in straight sets, Alcaraz left a cryptic note. The 2022 US Open winner wrote “33?” with a marker on the camera.

The note was for no one but the Aston Martin driver, who has been on a roll since the season began. Alonso has been chasing his 33rd race win, and this milestone looks possible with the current pace of the AMR23.

Alonso replied to the 19-year-old tennis prodigy with a Tweet, “Lock up this man! You are phenomenal, come on!” Although fans eagerly await the 2x champion to achieve his long-awaited race win.

What was Fernando Alonso’s last race win?

Fernando Alonso celebrated his last F1 race win a decade ago. It came at the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix as Alonso claimed his 32nd race win in front of thousands of passionate Spanish fans.

Alonso was racing for Ferrari at the time. He had qualified P5 behind the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and Kimi Raikkonen, but the Spaniard made up for it on Sunday.

Within the first lap, he overtook Raikkonen and Hamilton, becoming P3. Ferrari devised a 4-stop strategy for the 2x champion. He undercut Vettel and charged past Rosberg to claim the lead with ease.

Alonso won the race in front of a charged Circuit de Catalunya. He completed the podium along with Raikkonen and Vettel, who finished 2nd and 3rd. It was only his 2nd home GP win to date.

The Spaniard has been hunting for wins but has never received a competitive car since his Ferrari days. But with Aston Martin proving to be fast, there is a chance the 41-year-old would step again on the podium’s top step after a decade-long hiatus.

4-time Champion Shaquille O’Neal Posts Michael Jordan’s Iconic Move on his Instagram Story

Michael Jordan is undoubtedly a legend not just in the sport of basketball, but in the industry as a whole. The man wowed the world for 14 seasons, establishing himself as one of the greatest players the NBA has ever seen.

He has been an inspiration to many NBA superstars and has received the appreciation of both modern and veteran stars alike. In fact, one former player who recently showered praise on His Airness is Shaquille O’Neal.

The Big Aristotle idolized Jordan ever since he entered the league. And, being the active influencer that he is, Shaq decided he needed to share a post highlighting the brilliance of Jordan. In particular, his infamous dunk on Patrick Ewing.

Shaquille O’Neal shares post of Michael Jordan and his infamous dunk on Patrick Ewing

Since being drafted in 1984, Michael Jordan has left crowds stunned with his amazing plays. There are so many of them to choose from, it’s hard to pick the best one.

Well, Shaquille O’Neal has locked in his answer. The four-time NBA Champion showed his appreciation for the six-time NBA Champion on his Instagram. Sharing a video of one of MJ’s most iconic moves.

The move in question was His Airness’ downright disrespectful dunk on Patrick Ewing during the 1991 NBA Playoffs. One that had fans marveling at Jordan’s insane physical and mental prowess.

It was a dunk that was heard around the world. A dunk that Shaq didn’t forget, a dunk that Mike didn’t forget, and certainly a dunk that Patrick Ewing will never be allowed to forget.

Shaq once humiliated MJ in a friendly one-on-one back in 1996

Michael Jordan may have an iconic dunk on Patrick Ewing, but he can’t say the same with Shaquille O’Neal. In fact, Shaq once humiliated his fellow Hall of Famer in a friendly one-on-one game. The two faced off against each other during the pre-game workout in the 1996 All-Star Game. And, despite the jovial nature of the matchup, there was nothing MJ could do against the dominant force that is the Big Diesel.

At the end of the day, it was all just fun and games. But, one cannot help but imagine what a one-on-one between the two would have actually looked like in a serious game.

“I am Very Jealous of Shareef O’Neal”: When Shaquille O’Neal Revealed Why He was Envious of His 8-year-old Son

Being a professional basketball player is an ordeal that requires rigorous training from a young age to guarantee success. It is very rare that we come across stories of athletes who picked up the sport late and still attained the highest of heights in the sport.

While Shaq wasn’t really a late bloomer, as indicated by his achievements from a young age, it would appear the big man wishes he was formally trained at an earlier stage than he actually was. Such a revelation came to light particularly after seeing the access his son Shareef O’Neal had to basketball.

Shaq was a physical anomaly who had grown to reach 6’6 at age 13. And it was arguably O’Neal’s physical gifts that developed into an interest in basketball rather than it being the other way around.

On the other hand, his son Shareef grew up in a world of basketball. Young Shareef had his father, a Hall of Famer, showing him the ropes from the minute he was big enough to hold a basketball. At age 8, Shareef was naturally way ahead of the curve. Something Shaq himself admits to being “jealousy” inducing.

Also read: Watch: 16-year-old Shareef O’Neal Once Impressively Posterized his 7ft 1″ father Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal said Shareef was doing things at eight that he couldn’t do until he was sixteen.

While O’Neal is known for his exaggerations, this might not be too farfetched a thought. The Big Diesel wasn’t privy to elite facilities from a young age and honed his skills over his time at High School and LSU.

Shareef on the other hand had Shaq as his coach and access to world-class facilities since he was a toddler. Naturally, his development at a young age was incomparable to most of his peers.

So much so that even his well-accomplished father was jealous. “My son Shareef is an athlete. I’m very jealous of him. He was doing things on the basketball court at the age of eight that I couldn’t do until I was sixteen years old. I was his coach last summer and we were undefeated. He’s very very funny and very sensitive. Sound like anyone you know?” described O’Neal of Shareef’s development as a basketball player and a man in Shaq Uncut.

At the time, Shareef was also on his path to NBA stardom. But health issues have complicated matters and what appeared a sure bet for NBA stardom seems an unlikely long shot now.

The early development and Shaq’s talk weren’t misleading factors. Shareef was indeed a highly recruited and rated prospect growing up. But a heart issue that required surgery fully derailed Shaq’s son from his path to greatness.

Shareef, now 23, is a member of the NBA G League Ignite team.

Despite his setbacks, Shareef is still battling it out among pros. Considering how the right anomalous coronary artery which he was diagnosed with could have led to the end of his athletic career, it goes to show Shareef’s determination that he is still fighting to get himself a place in the NBA.

And while it may be a long shot, weirder things have certainly happened. After flashing glimpses of potential in the Summer League and the G League, Reef certainly is on the radar again.

With Shaq vouching for his funny and sensitive personality too, we might see a lot more of young Shareef going ahead. One certainly hopes there is a fairy tale ending to the young man’s once-promising basketball career. The progression of which even got his famous father envious at one point.

“She’s in Flat 63, Same As George’s Number So Cuuute”: Fans Drool Over George Russell and Carmen Mundt’s Romance With Latest Instagram Post

George Russell and Carmen Mundt are among the most prominent couples on the Formula 1 grid. Mundt is often seen with the Mercedes star on the paddock and loves to support him through the toughest challenges.

Though, in her latest Instagram post, she doesn’t appear to be in Melbourne with her boyfriend for the upcoming Australian GP and instead is in London. But that isn’t keeping their romance inactive.

On Tuesday, Mundt posted a series of photos with the caption, “Work, routine & the most beautiful flowers.” In the post, the last two images were of a bouquet, which made fans wonder, did Russell send them?

Fans drool over George Russell and Carmen Mundt’s romance

With the photo posted by Mundt, it’s apparent that Russell’s flat number is also 63 same as his F1 car number. A fan even noticed that and commented, “Literally obsessed. And she’s in flat 63, same as George’s number so cuuute.”

And before their apartment doorstep was a bouquet which, according to Mundt, were “the most beautiful flowers.” The fans in the comments guessed they were probably sent by Russell, who is currently on the other end of the world.

Though, one could choose to believe that Mundt could buy flowers for herself. However, in the picture posted online, they seem to have come in via courier. So, who could be the one so eager to make Mundt feel so special? The answer to it is obvious.

The Australian tour seems to be tough

While Mundt is back home, it appears Russell will have to face his difficulties alone in Australia. Mercedes hasn’t had a pleasant start to their 2023 season and are lacking enough pace to beat their rivals, Red Bull.

Even Aston Martin seems faster, limiting Russell and Lewis Hamilton’s potential on the racetrack. After seeing the results of the first two races, the team is already discouraged about their prospects of winning a championship.

In fact, Russell even believes that Red Bull will win every race this season. On the other hand, Hamilton has called RB19 the most dominant car ever to grace F1.

Despite having not lifted an Indian Premier League title with the tournament having completed fifteen successful years of its existence, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise has made sure to excel in its social media game by providing its fans some quality content.

Thus, while it had some 2.3 million followers on Instagram in the year 2019, its popularity surged to an extent that the count touched the 10 million mark just a day ago. Also, while it ranked around fourth or fifth amongst eight teams (back in 2019) in terms of social media engagement, it has now emerged to be the most popular franchise, a huge share for which goes to its loyal fans as well.

Much of the credit also goes to the quality players the think-tank has be able to rope in. The likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle have a massive fan base very few cricketers in the world have at present.

Which IPL Team has Most Fans

The five-time IPL champion franchise Mumbai Indians, and the four-time title winners Chennai Super Kings have been the top two sides for quite some years now in terms of fan base and popularity.

CSK’s skipper since the inception of the league – MS Dhoni, has perhaps been the single biggest factor for the ‘Yellow Army’ marginally surpassing MI in terms of fan following across top-3 social media sites in Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

While CSK have a combined fan following count of 33.5 million (as of today) across the above mentioned social media sites, MI are marginally below them with 32.3 million followers.

RCB are placed at the third spot with 25.9 million followers, while KKR take the fourth spot with 24.7 million.

Carlos Sainz Reveals Key to Ferrari’s Success After Team’s Woeful Start to 2023 Season

Carlos Sainz unraveled the key to Ferrari’s success after the dismal start to their 2023 campaign. The Spaniard said patience and trust are the key factors now to making a U-turn from the deep trouble they are in right now.

As per Spanish media AS, Sainz stated that they have to be patient even in the darkest times, such as now. After last year’s failed efforts l, the Italian team couldn’t live up to their expectations this time as well.

Furthermore, he also said that he trusts his team. The Spaniard is confident of the Prancing Horse’s capabilities to fix the car and reverse the situation that they are in. Saying they know the problem they have with their car, the 28-year-old put his bet on Maranello, reported FormulaPassion.

The Prancing Horse is currently languishing in P4 in the constructors’ championship. With just two races down, they are already 61 points behind.

Team drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz who are both Ferrari favorite are in P4 and P8 in the driver’s standings, respectively. Red Bull and Max Verstappen continue to lead both championships.

Sainz explained why Ferrari suffered in Saudi Arabia

The Jeddah race didn’t turn out to be a good one for the Maranello-based team. Despite having high expectations, the SF-23s yet again failed to match its competitors and as a result, slumped to a lowly P6 and P7 finish.

As the outrage increased after the repeated poor shows, Sainz has come up with an explanation for the dismal performance from the red challengers. He said the SF-23 is hard to drive in dirty air.

The Spanish driver was following the AMR23 of Lance Stroll. But he couldn’t find a way to get ahead and pose a threat to the Aston Martin ahead of him. As a result, he fell behind by quite some margin.

The Spaniard revealed major SF-23 issues

Ferrari’s new 2023 F1 challenger is slower than its competitors. In a season where the Red team was expected to be top-notch, things didn’t quite work out the way.

The 28-year-old unraveled the potential reasons behind the such performance. He informed me that the new SF-23 has a tire overheating problem, who increases the degradation and slows down the car once the optimal health is exhausted.

Furthermore, it is relatively slower off the pace, which proved to be another vital reason for the woeful start to the campaign.

With $1.1 million deal in the bag, Dennis Rodman’s daughter Trinity Rodman gets surprised by Neymar on IG

Trinity Rodman may just be the most talented Soccer player in the country. The 20-year-old took the world of Soccer by storm when she was picked by Washington Spirit as the second overall pick in the 2021 draft. She became the youngest player to be drafted in NWSL history. Her selection was so fluke either, Trinity went on to prove her prowess in her rookie season and won multiple accolades.

Just two years into her career, the Washington star has won Rookie of the Year, US Soccer Young Female of the Year, and also made it to the list of NWSL top 11. Now in her third season, the formidable right winger has officially become a part of the Red Bull family. Surprisingly, PSG superstar Neymar Jr. welcomed her to the global brand.

Trinity Rodman welcomed to Red Bull by Neymar

In her latest post on Instagram, Trinity Rodman unveiled the box Red Bull sent her after signing her as an official athlete. The Soccer star opened the box only to find a congratulatory note from Neymar Jr. waiting for her inside. The PSG star congratulated Rodman for her addition to the coveted brand.

Neymar: “Hello Trinity, Welcome to the Red Bull family, I am so happy. Welcome and Good luck!

Neymar’s message made it official that Trinity is now part of the Red Bull family. Trinity, unsurprisingly overjoyed, shared the video with her fans. Her caption showed she was unable to contain her joy. She wrote:

Got my Wiiings!! ahhhhh so excited to have scored a goal yesterday in the home opener AND join the Red Bull Fam with a message from Neymar Jr. Can’t wait to take my game to the next level! So so so happy

A post shared by Trinity Rodman (@trinity_rodman)

Last year, she became the highest-paid footballer in NWSL. Trinity Rodman signed a 4-year $1.1 million deal with the Washington Spirit and has quickly become their top talent. Considering her father was an integral part of one of the greatest teams in NBA history, it’s not surprising to see Trinity get his gene for athletic excellence.

Dennis Rodman is Trinity’s father

Eccentric Bulls legend Dennis Rodman is Trinity’s father. The female Soccer star was born to Dennis and his then-wife Michelle Moyer. Unfortunately, Trinity and Dennis do not enjoy the best bond. Rodman was an absent father and Trinity remembers the impact it had on her clear as day. During an interview, she revealed the difficulties of being Rodman’s daughter.

Trinity Rodman: “My dad doesn’t play a big role in my life at all and most people don’t know that, we don’t see eye to eye on many things. I go months if not years without his presence or communication.

But Trinity is clearly wise beyond her age. The 20-year-old star also understood the challenges her father had faced and still likes to have his support. Hopefully, Rodman can find a way to repatch things between the two with his insight into handling a highly successful pro career. However, in all fairness, Trinity seems to be the more talented of the two and quite likely to be a legend far beyond her father’s realm by the time of her retirement.

“Not Just Michael Jordan’s Daughter”: Working At Father’s $2.7B Team, Jasmine Jordan Breaks Down Her Individuality

Michael Jordan is by far the most recognizable athlete North American sports have ever seen. So, it’s only natural that his children would be put under a similar limelight regardless of what they would do. Having a famous parent is a double-edged sword however as it is incredibly difficult to exist their shadow.

Given just how popular and beloved Jordan was and still is, his children have had to build a life for themselves that expresses their individuality. His sons, Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan, having tired to play basketball at the collegiate level, let basketball go after a final stint at UCF.

His first daughter, Jasmine Jordan, is heavily involved in her father’s two biggest brands/companies: Jordan Brand and the Charlotte Hornets, a franchise worth over $2.7 billion. While she has proven herself in both of her positions, she still feels as though she isn’t receiving the respect that she deserves.

Jasmine Jordan on not being labelled simply as ‘Michael Jordan’s daughter’

Jasmine Jordan understands the magnitude of her father’s being. His play resonated with millions across the world for decades on end and so it is understandable when sharing your name with a person like that could result in people only wanting to talk about him with you.

Jasmine Jordan however, isn’t just ‘Michael Jordan’s daughter’. She’s much more than that and she wants the world to know just the same. In a recent panel discussion, she addressed this, saying:

“As soon as I enter a room, that’s the first thing you’re going to see, that’s the first thing you’re going to expect and that’s the first thing you’re going to want to talk about and embrace. That’s the first thing I’m going to correct. I’m going to say, ‘Hey I’m Jasmine, nice to meet you,’” said Jasmine.

What does Jasmine Jordan do?

Jasmine Jordan has made a name for herself at both Jordan Brand and in the Charlotte Hornets organization. She works as a field representative for Jordan Brand and represents a variety of high-profile female athletes such as Aerial Powers and Rhyne Howard.

Having studied sports management At Syracuse, Jasmine would start off her career as a coordinator of basketball operations for the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets are currently looking to be sold by Michael Jordan as he would prefer to have a minority stake in the franchise.

Fred Vasseur Believes Sergio Perez Can Have a 100-Point Lead Over Max Verstappen After Monaco GP

Buy Now

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has shockingly stated that there’s a possibility that Sergio Perez can take a 100-point lead over Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen after the upcoming few races. Such a scenario would be a huge shock to F1 fans, who have become accustomed to the Dutchman dominating race weekends out and out.

Verstappen has won 16 of the last 24 races, stretching back to the beginning of last season, and does not show any signs of slowing down anytime soon. While the 25-year-old failed to win last weekend’s race in Saudi Arabia, it was because he started way down in 15th after reliability struggles hampered his qualifying.

Considering the Dutchman’s staggering form, it seems unlikely that he would lose so much ground to Perez this season. However, Vasseur believes that if Red Bull continue to struggle with reliability issues, it could open a door for Perez to dominate the upcoming races.

Vassuer explains how Perez could take control in the title battle

Fred Vassuer believes that there is a minute possibility that Sergio Perez can take a 100-point lead over Max Verstappen by the end of the Monaco Grand Prix. The Ferrari team principal believes that such a scenario is possible even though only five races remain between now and the time the Monaco GP concludes on May 28.

“Imagine now that Perez wins two more races and Verstappen retires. A gearbox fails and he gets a penalty for the next one. After Monaco, Perez is then 100 points ahead of Verstappen. These situations can happen,” explained Vasseur (as quoted by formula1news.co.uk).

Can Sergio Perez take the fight to Max Verstappen?

Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen have been teammates since the beginning of the 2021 season when the Mexican replaced Alex Albon to join Red Bull. In both the 2021 and 2022 seasons, the Dutchman has beaten Perez by a huge margin.

In the 2021 campaign, the year Verstappen won his maiden championship, he beat Perez by a whopping 205.5 points. While Perez reduced the deficit last year, Verstappen still managed to edge out the Mexican by 149 points.

Although Verstappen has clearly had the better of Perez in the two previous seasons, the Mexican seems far more determined this year to take the fight to the Dutchman.

Verstappen just leads Perez by a point after the conclusion of the first two races as both have won one race each and finished second in the other. However, the Dutchman has the slightest of advantages because of the fastest lap he claimed at the Saudi Arabian GP.
