After Jimmy Butler and Co.’s ECF Win, Draymond Green Taunts ‘Suffering’ Celtics Fans For Back-to-back Disappointments: “Y’all Rude”

After pushing the Eastern Conference Finals to Game 7, the Boston Celtics have been crushed by Jimmy Butler and his company. The Miami Heat cruised past the Celtics in Game 7, beating them 103-84. Winning the series 4-3, Jimmy Butler and the Heat will face Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the Finals. Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green is particularly pleased with the Boston fans tasting defeat. Last year, the Warriors lifted the NBA title, defeating the Celtics 4-2 in the series. However, seems like Draymond Green still wants to take a shot at the Celtics. In the latest episode of the Draymond Green Show, he does not seem even slightly remorseful for the plight of Celtics fans. Although Green is upset about Jayson Tatum not making it to the finals, he believes that the Celtics fans deserve this second time in a row.

He legitimately dislikes the fans in the TD Garden, who were brutal against the Warriors players last year during the finals.

Draymond Green aims shots at Celtics fans after the Eastern Conference Finals loss

Jimmy Butler and the Heat cruised past the Celtics in a much more sensational manner. However, this Conference Finals exit would be the second big upset for Boston, two years in a row. Last year, they had lost to Steph Curry’s Warriors 4-2, and now again, they have lost against Jimmy Butler’s Miami Heat.

Draymond Green has not forgotten the brutal nature of the fans in the TD Garden. He feels no remorse or sorry for the fans who lost a second final in a row. In the Draymond Green Show, he said:

“But I must say, it did not hurt me to watch the Boston Celtics fans suffer. Those people were really rude to me last year, and I like to see them suffer. Quite frankly, for the second year in a row in a big close-out game, the Boston fans suffer. Boston Celtics fans will make excuses, and I ain’t hearing none of that s**t because y’all rude. And I’m happy y’all lost.”

TD Garden is not a fond memory for Draymond Green to revisit, especially after facing racist vitriol from the Celtics fans. The hostility that was inflicted on the Warriors players was beyond comparison. However, Draymond and Steph Curry became the first NBA team to win a title at TD Garden. Adding further on his latest podcast episode, Green said:

“Especially those of you that are in that arena. Stop being the way that y’all are. At some point, you just can’t be that way. So stop doing that. And you know what that is. I don’t need to go into that.”

Although Draymond is not remorseful for the Celtics fans, he feels slightly compassionate for Jayson Tatum. However, he is unwilling to hear excuses about Tatum being injured for this series’ loss from the fans.

Could the Celtics be blown up?

Draymond’s comments will definitely strike a nerve for Boston fans. The city has not been kind to Draymond, and his latest comments aren’t likely to change that behavior. NBA fans can expect fireworks every time he steps foot in the TD Garden.

Amidst the Celtics’ recent struggles, fans are pondering significant changes to the team’s core. Despite being a higher seed, Boston has suffered losses in five out of their seven postseason appearances.

To revive their fortunes, the Celtics may require substantial alterations, whether in the form of player acquisitions or coaching adjustments. Speculation has even arisen about the possibility of trading Jaylen Brown and building the team solely around Jayson Tatum, potentially leading to a complete overhaul of the roster in the offseason.

These bold moves could be seen as a way to restructure the team and maximize the potential of their star player. These changes could instill renewed optimism and improve their postseason prospects in the upcoming season.
