Sebastian Vettel might have left the sport last year, but his antics are still popular on the grid. Among every special move by the German, his inspection after the qualification or race is one of the most interesting ones, as Lewis Hamilton pulled off a similar move after the Azerbaijan GP qualification.
Hamilton went on to have a look at Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari as the qualifying sessions concluded. Leclerc managed to pull off a mighty lap in the end to snatch the pole position from Max Verstappen.

After 2021 and 2022, this is the third time the Monegasque kept himself on the pole in Baku. As the SF-23 managed to do the unthinkable, the Mercedes star went on to have a look at the mighty Prancing Horse.
The Briton was captured looking at the sidepod inlets of the challenger, an antic similar to the four-time world champion. Admittedly, Leclerc and his car have caused huge chaos lately over the surprising pole position.
Hamilton’s content about P3 in Baku
The seven-time world champion has qualified in P5 in Baku despite manifesting a positive weekend ahead. Even though this wasn’t a mighty result from the team and the driver, Hamilton is happy with the result despite not having any upgrades.
The Silver Arrows did not bring any upgrade package for this weekend, as they are set to bring upgrades later in the season, mainly in Imola. Talking about this, the Mercedes maestro revealed that he didn’t really know what to expect in the post-qualification press conference.

As per Deni on Twitter, the 38-year-old also focused on the massive speed difference between them and Red Bull. Hamilton was almost eight-tenths slower than the Dutchman.
Toto Wolff happy despite not too good Mercedes performance
The Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has revealed that he’s happy with the boys’ performances despite their mediocre performance. The Silver Arrows managed P5 by Lewis Hamilton and P11 by George Russell.
Speaking on the qualification, Wolff stated, as per Deni, that he’s happy in the end. When most of the team arrived in Baku with a bit of an upgrade package, they arrived empty-handed.
Without having anything to bank on, one of the Silver Arrows went to Q3, which was enough for the Austrian executive to be happy. The concluded qualification will set the grid for Sunday’s race.
